Project Report | May 20, 2010
45 students ready for the final year

By Chief Aku Christy Orduh | Executive Director/Project Leader

All forty five students currently in training have successfully completed their work plan for the first year ready for the second and final year of the skill acquisition training with Friends of the Disabled. There is a proposal at hand to seek for settlement from MTN Foundation but the possibility is not there since they sponsored the training with eight thousand Naira incentive to each student per month. We need to work harder to settle them in groups as Cooperative groups to attract Micro finance assistance from the Government or Micro finance groups. Our plan is to get their parents and Guardians involved in any loans transactions. Settling in groups encourages collective ownnership and continous collaboration between and among themselves. Their graduation will come up in the month of July 2011.
