Help disabled youths with no basic education or job skills. They resort to begging and become victims of dangerous activities. Educate and train them in job skills for economic and social independence
Disabled youths in Nigeria turn to drugs and other socially unacceptable activities to generate income. This is due to a high level of discrimination against people with disabilities. Often they are abandoned. They need to be rescued and recovered from the streets. We provide basic education; provide skills in shoe-making, tailoring, welding and computer.
We will educate; provide job skills to young beggars for economic and social integration; continue to pursue legislation to protect their rights and create jobs to restore their dignity.
The disabled will stop begging, start work, and acquire basic education and skills for healthy survival. As a result, poverty within this population will decline. They will also build self-esteem and be encouraged to fight for their rights.
Social harmony will be a mirage if the disadvantaged people, who are the poorest of the poor faced with prejudice and discrimination, are not empowered to help themselves and their family.
