Located in the township of Pallurithy, in the city of Kochi this project aims to assist disadvantaged children and orphans in the area.
The Auxilium School was established in 1994 to provide education to children who come from low socio economic backgrounds and orphaned children in the area. There are currently 565 boys and girls who attend this school, for most of these children coming to school is a privilege as they are being given the opportunity to gain an education as opposed to having to go out and work to earn an income
Despite trying to keep school fees to a bare minimum the school has seen high drop out rates as communities struggle to survive. We will alleviate these issues so education becomes more accessible to children providing opportunity for the future. Join our Charity challenge to raise further vital funds, trek through the jungle of Chimmony and get to visit this project! Securing education for the children of Pallurithy will create opportunities for better paid jobs in the future, breaking the cycle of poverty in this community.
Donations will help to pay for childrens' school fees, school books, and most importantly reduce drop out rates so the children can stay in school and complete their education. - Ridhi Patel, GVI Project Manager
