Sports for Change supports education of bright but disadvantaged children in Kenya. Your contribution will assist in funding the education for children at Tegla Loroupe's school & peace academy.The school focuses on supporting orphaned and disadvantaged children. Unfortunately, there are more kids that need help than our funding arrangements can manage. The -"Kili trek Challenge-" is aimed to raise awareness of the lives of disadvantaged children in anticipation to raise money for them.
Whilst primary school in Kenya is free, secondary school is not, and so even the most promising & bright kids from poor background can miss out on secondary school.Our aim is to provide sustainable support to these kids to take them through to the end of secondary school and beyond.We are currently raising money for next year's fees, ensuring that we grow in a way that does not let any of our kids down in the future.We are supporting 14 bright children,but there are many more that need our help.
The additional funding will give more kids an opportunity to access education,provide them with a different outlook on what their lives may have on offer for them. This will open up an opportunity, that otherwise would remain inaccessible.
The project aims at giving the children from disadvantaged back ground a right to education, giving them an opportunity to reach to their full potential.
Sports for Change uses fun sports to raise funds for the project. The -'Kili Trek Challenge'- will take a sport a step further by 'sweating for fun and create change in someone's life'!
