Education is the single most vital element in combating poverty, empowering women and promoting human rights and democracy. The realization of the right to education is crucial for the realization of other human rights such as the right to access health care. Given that fact, Friends of Humanity has decided to support the charity Maison Shalom,in the development of its International School project in Ruyigi, Burundi.
Friends of Humanity has been working consistently with Maison Shalom since 2008, mainly on the Rema Hospital and for the support of young female victims of sexual violence. This year Friends of Humanity are supporting her new project, the International School, which aims to provide an excellent education to disadvantaged children in Ruyigi, Burundi. The International School already welcomes 185 students and in 2016, they want to welcome 450 children.
Continue to support this project so that we can give Maison Shalom the opportunity to welcome 450 students in its International School. By supporting you will allow the creation of new classes, with new material for hundreds of children in need of education.
Thank you again for your donations.
