A care home for destitute and deprived homeless children of deserted Sundarban Coastal Area, we are trying to provide them with quality education, proper nutrition and care in a homely environment to gift them with a better tomorrow. Moreover we are helping 600 backward class Children to have pre-primary education through our 10 nos creche (free of cost) with uniform, books nutrition supplements in different blocks of S 24 Pgs. adjacent to Coastal Sundarban.
VSSU has been in the development sector for more than two and a half decades with its aim to improve the quality of lives of the poor. Food,clothes,shelter,education & health being the primary requirements of mankind VSSU has been concerned to cater these services for the better quality of life. The home aims to develop the children's sense of humanity and community, Most of them are orphan and the rest are street children, child labor etc. We rescued them from brick field, shops etc.
They are receiving education for their physical, mental and development to be productive, economically self-reliant and socially responsible. Already 3 students from the organization have been selected for National level competition in Racing & cycling and few students are in abroad for post doctorate studies.in quality education with scholarship up to graduate/secondary level helping them to find a good job in the future to be self reliant .Thus changing lives of 230 nos children since 2003.
These children in VSSU will lead a life with love and dignity. Each child can access education, proper health care, nutrition, and recreation to enable them to have a childhood free from child-labor and child-marriage, and to support their overall development and the completion of their education. The girls from villages will get educated, become independent which in turn will help stop early marriage of girls and child/women trafficking, essentially it will help women empowerment in the future
