April 2013 Report

Hi!

We've been up to a lot of things in 2013. Our Health Complex has been very busy but don't think we have forgotten about the water project! Recently, we have been inspected by the Bangladesh NGO Foundation and given a satifactory report for our intiatives to provide safe drinking water to the residents in the village of Earpur in Senbagh, Noakhali, Bangladesh.

We cannot thank you enough for your faith in us and believing in our mission. I know there are a lot of other ways you could have spent this money, but you believe in our cause, so you chose to invest it in our project. Because of this investment, I want you to feel like part of our team. We're in this together. I want our success to be your success. Together we can all work to provide people with the opportunities to uplift themselves out of poverty.

Please tell your friends and family about our project by sharing the link on your blogs or social networks.

Thank you again for all you have done to help this cause.

Best,

Juhi

End of the Year Update

"Water is the driving force in nature"
"Water is the driving force in nature"

Hi Everyone,

I hope all of you are slowly winding down and getting to spend some time with your loved ones. Before we all tune out for the holidays, I wanted to provide you with some updates.

Since December 2011, we have been able to install 24 tubewells in our project area. Approximately 2400 people now have access to safe drinking water. None of this is possible without your support. By providing clean water, villagers are now have less risk of contracting a debilitating water-borne disease and women and children do not have to travel far to get clean water. We have installed the tube wells in village market, schools and areas where villagers were primarily used contaminated pond water.

We have many other exiciting projects out in the horizon. This past June, we opened up the MAAWS Health Complex. As of early December, we have seen over 600 patients. We still need a lot of support for this project, so please in this time of giving think of the 30,000 people in the Senbagh/Begumganj area of Noakhali, Bangladesh that do not have access to basic health care. You can check out our project and donate at www.tinyurl.com/gghealthcomplex

We cannot thank you enough for your faith in us and believing in our mission. Together we can all work to provide people with the opportunities to uplift themselves out of poverty.

Best,

Juhi

May Update

Hi!

We’re our long over due for an update but we have been working diligently to install new tube wells in communities and schools in the village of Earpur in Senbagh, Noakhali, Bangladesh. To date, we have installed 11 tube wells with your support. Over 1000 people now have access to clean water.

1000 people now have access to the most essential element of life: water. Water changes lives. Access to clean water lowers the rate of waterborne illness, increases the enrollment of children in school, especially girls, and promotes healthier living. Without your support, none of this would be possible.

Within the next few months, we will be installing even more tube wells so stay tuned for the next project report. But in the meantime, please check out our newest project, the MAAWS Health Complex, on GlobalGivng: www.tinyurl.com/gghealthcomplex.

Over 30,000 people in the Senbagh/Begumganj area of Noakhali, Bangladesh do not have access to basic health care. In order to meet obvious need for health care, MAAWS is building a Health Complex in rural Bangladesh.

Please get your family, friends and colleagues involved. Together we can all work to provide people with the opportunities to uplift themselves out of poverty.

Best,

Juhi

Quick Update!

Dear Donors,

Happy Holidays! I hope you all are enjoying some time off and spending the holidays with your loved ones. On behalf of MAAWS, I wish you all the best in the upcoming New Year. Without your support, MAAWS would not be where it is today.

I wanted to give you all a quick update on the water project. We have spent the last few months getting clearance from the Bangladesh Bureau of NGOs and selecting sites for the tube wells. That has taken us some time and unfortunately slowed down the process. But now all that is cleared up and we are ready to start installing tube wells! Now Bangladesh is experiencing the dry season so it is the ideal time to start installations.

We'll keep you updated with photos and videos as our project progresses. You can always visit our website, www.maaws.org, for more infromation or send us an e-mail at maawsforglobal@aol.com.

In the meantime, you can watch an interview with beneficiary of the water project: http://youtu.be/0hQEIrJ_Grg. It is with your support that Hossnai and her family can have access to clean drinking water all year round.

Thank you again for all the support you have given us. We look forward to growing and developing our programs in the upcoming New Year.

Best,

Juhi
