This summer, U&I is conducting 7 exciting summer camps for over 400 underprivileged children in various orphanages across the city of Bangalore. The theme for our camps this year is Dreams, and our main aim is to inspire them above all else, to dream BIG. The camps, needless to say, will involve a lot of fun, games, and creative activities coupled with focused assessments which will help in facilitating an understanding of each child's needs.
Most of these children come from communities where dreams are not just limited, but seldom achieved, and as an organization, we want to change that. Moreover, there is a dire need to provide personalized career counseling of sorts and mentorship toward helping them with the various options they can avail of, given the current absence of the same.
Bearing in mind the children's likes, dislikes, strengths and weaknesses, these summer camps' focus is to primarily encourage them to dream without limits through various entertaining activities and motivational sessions. In using illustrative and fun-filled methods in the provision of immediate (and long-term) career guidance and in the administration of personalized one-on-one mentorship, we intend to address the need for the same.
A)The main intention behind conducting assessments is to design a course plan for the coming year for the children in meeting their learning requirements in accordance with the results obtained.B)We hope to provide a long-term career guidance support system which will help the children pursue their future course of action in a focused and well-planned manner, and additionally also intend to help in the realization of their dreams by staying committed to their future growth and development.
