Since 1999 Mark has served as the driving force behind Kasumisou Foundation. After a banking career of 25 years (SVP Union Bank of Switzerland,VP-Treasurer Citibank Japan, VP Foreign Currency Trading/Sales,Citibank New York) Mark created low cost effective programs serving the poorest of poor in Cambodia. Focus is on stabilizing mothers and kids impacted by HIV and keeping children in school.
Madame Vong Metry became a classical dancer at age 5. In the 1960's she was one Cambodia's dance elite studying and dancing in the Royal Palace and attending and then teaching at the Royal University of Fine Arts. In 1975 under the Khmer Rouge Metry survived by working at forced labor. In 1998 Metry founded what is now Apsara Arts Association, dedicating her life to restoring Cambodian dance.
