Project Personnel

Sudha Chalise (Mrs.) - President RWUA

Sudha, 45 years old, founded the Rural Women's Upliftment Association (RWUA) and led it for 9 years. Her training is in management and group mobilization. Gender balance is her main interest. She says "Improving the living condition of marginalized communities is my motto. Social service is not easy work and not one person's work. Continuous and like minded people's efforts make it true"

Pushpa Chaudhari (Miss) - Assistant Nurse Midwife

Pushpa is a trained community nurse. She worked for 2 years with government and private health posts before joining RWUA. "I am from backward caste and grew up in poor family and remote community. I have seen that my community people could not receive a very simple treatment and died unnecessarily. I never can forget the day when I saved the lives of a poor mother and baby after a long labor"

Gopal N. Nakarmi - Program Coordinator for South Asia

With over 20 years of grassroots experience in Nepal and India, and with a degree in business and administration, Gopal provides training and management support to World Neighbors local partners. Married with 2 children, Gopal's passion is community mobilization and group formation in rural areas.
