Map of dependancy Due to the high level of poverty in the country and the poor living standards of the people in the slum who live mostly relied on relief food for there day to day survival in the society, thus not looking for employment of any sort. Faulu launched a program to empower the swellers of kawengwere so that they join realy on food condition of empowering them economically and sustain their businesses. Read more.

Map of Environment The condition of gheto environment for sure is very bad in that one cannot wish to call it a resdetion place but rather call it a dumping place. This is because the place is very dusty smoky stinicy mostly contributed by the burning of gabbages which consist of dead animals live dogs and human wast the dischorging of toilets along the water farness and dust roads. Due to this people are living inviroment which even pigs cannot sustain. During rainy season one cannot acess to his house. because it is very mudy and in this mad there are broken glasses and some dead materials which can hit you any time you try to walk along the communities. In Security

Map of in security Many people in the slum suffer from diseases which can be prevented.many of them are jobless and that makes them turn to crime.other people in the slum do prostituion which leads to the contraction of incurable diseases like the HIV and AIDS.many children whose parents were unfrotunate enough to die end up on the streets where some die due to cold and other diseases.there is also alot of insecurity and you will find many loosing the few properties they own to thugs who roam the dark of the slum.we as kenyans can make a better future for th slumdwellers. I Inspired The Courage Of An Intern

Map of I inspired the courage of an intern I am the human resource personnel Masaka municipal council, Once a period of time we had an intern who had passed through tough situation but survived and won the battle, his family was one of the poorest in the community, he studied while working parttime , he had no permanent job but he could do any job he would find on the streets.among the jobs he did include, pushing wheel barrows,carrying cargo, sweeping streets among others. he did this for two years and was an intern at our organisation in the third year where he was paid only a small torken.The boy completed studies and was listed for graduationhe had no graduation fee neither could he buy a gown. His parents did not know he was studying, they were invited to join graduation but they did not believe it right. I pioneered strategy to help this young man get money for the graduation and even arraged a party for him, the parentsfelt lie it was a dream. they could not believe it right. Read more.

Help To The Needy

16-21 years old, in Kakamega, Kenya
Map of HELP TO THE NEEDY In chavakali high school community, which is made up of Teachers, students, parents and workers, under the rule of Mr Indimuli Kahi who joined the institution in the year 2010. Realised that the school had many student who were ready to learn but some of the lacked fees in one way or the other like orphans, poor students and many more. He sat down with the guarding and counselling commonly and decided to start a programme which will occur once per year to help the needy. Everyone in chavakali community and all well wishers to contibute some money to help them sustain their learning. Last year the programme was they and atleast we were able to get some money for their school fee. Now the students are settled in school serious learning is taking place and improvement can be seen in they academic work. This year the programme was there in early february and it was succesfull. We like all well-wisher to join us in this programme and support needy in our community. Read more.
