A comprehensive/wrap-around after school program serves kindergarten through 5th grade children with profound special needs and provides respite, support, and a "home away from home" for families where like services are otherwise unavailable in the community.
Community options for after school care, support and enrichment for children and their families are limited or non-existent. This creates insurmountable stress and anguish for caregivers.
This program aims to provide a viable solution to alleviate the problems and stresses families are facing and to enhance their daily quality of life.
This program is expandable and replicable. It hopes to serve between 10 and 20 community children and families in the first year and to increase in service capacity by 20% a year going forward.
