Founded Romania Animal Rescue after a hiking tour of Romania in 2001. Romania Animal Rescue became a registered 501 (c) 3 in 2003 in the USA.
RAR has a partnership with Dr. Aurelian Stefan, who charges us the minimal cost of $22 per spay/neuter. In 2003 Dr. Stefan was awarded a grant from the Louis Pateur National Research Institute.He graduated from vet school in Bucharest in 2004. In 2006 he co-authored "Post-operative Pain Evaluation in Pets", Scientific Studies of Congress of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Timisoara, April '06
