All over eastern Burma (Myanmar), indigenous people are subject to attacks, forced labor, land mines, and displacement by the army of Burma’s military dictatorship. The Free Burma Rangers relief teams carry medical equipment into the jungle of Burma, and are trained to treat patients and document human rights abuses. They are equipped with food, first aid supplies, cameras, flashlights, radios, and toys for children. With 43 relief teams making many rounds, FBR reaches up to 172,000 people.
Green Empowerment and local partners will provide all solar power equipment , plus installation, operation, and maintenance training to staff of the Free Burma Rangers training center, and will assist in the installation of the system on site.
