Map of JUA KALI INDUSTRIES These are small scale industries found in many parts of Kenya. they are informal in many ways and the activities are carried out in open air. some are conducted in open sheds. These industries are concentrated in urban areas urban because there is a large market for the good they produce and services they offer. They are vary in size. They mainly rely on locally availability raw materials , They mainly use readily available unskilled labour. The raw materials, in many cases are made up of scrap metal from discarded items. Map of OBJECTIVES OF SHOFCO SHOFCO -This is an organisation whose major activities are mostly benefited by the people living in the ghetto. it has made numerous achievement to most [people and has ensured that youth and the people living in Kibera slums enjoys their services an abundance. it has brought both women and men together by commencing youth groups that tend to provide their desired services. Work To The Youth

Map of WORK TO THE YOUTH In the slums the population density is very high. This leads to over crowding. this has various impacts in the comunity which are being a major issue. This became a consern Thus the solution was to make the idle youth in the comunity busy by employment. Due to the lack of employments and the large population of adle youth a project came to rise. The project was about cleaning the community in groups and in the evening wages were paid so the youths were deveded into groups of twenties and each person was given a rake , a space, a jembe and a panga inorder to effectively conduct their work. The product of the projects were the community being clean. The youth got themselves busy thus getting paid which which led lead to reduction in theft in the community. Read more.

Electricity Installation

Map of Electricity Installation In my village, electricity was raver installed to the community members and this could promote insecurity at night. Through the Ministry of Energy that took the burden of installing electricity to the members of the community. The village is now enjoying the services from the energy that it is also making their living standards to improve. This reduced insecurity in the village since there are light at night where people are unable to steal since they could be seen easily. Read more.

Global Villages

Map of GLOBAL VILLAGES Recently the population of Uganda was evenly distributed between villages and towns. Many people have the idea of of shifting from villages to towns due to limited social services in villages. Instant power distributors has made it possible to encourage people live in villages.It has introduced solar panels which can operate almost any electrical appliance. Salons can operate in the villages, video halls, photocopying machines almost anything can be done using solar energy. Many people are now shifting from towns to villages because everything is possible there. Read more.

Map of Youths There was a rising case of indiscipline cases among the youth in one village called Sirisya in Busia District. Most of them had started drinking, smoking and even using bhang, cocaine and other addictive drugs. A time came when at the age of is it was more probable that one will drop out of school and the rate of child pregnancies and the level of rape cases shoot up. These brought up a variety of issues and worries among the community members. After a long period of time of trying to come up with a solution there came up a youth organization called "' Youth Alive"', this organization started the process of teaching the youth on the adverse effect of drug abuse and alo taught them the importance of education and to samee techinical projects like electronics, information and technology and even carpentry. This provided jobs for the youth in the village and idole time was no more and all the insiscipline cases had to reduce. On what education performance shot up. Oh what a savoiur this organization (Youth Alive)was. Read more.
