IN DECEMBER, YOUR DONATION IS AUTOMATICALLY DOUBLED and added further if donations are set as regular/recurring!
There's never been a better time to donate, thanks to the New Challenge by the Reed Foundation and trustees. From 10 AM on Dec. 6, until the end of the month, we have an opportunity whereby all donations get matched Pound for Pound or dollar for dollar or any currency in fact. This means that your donation is worth double. Whatever you donate on line, it will be doubled with a matching grant. We request you to donate as much you can and at the earliest.
Please consider for making it regular donation as whatever you donate, it will get matched further upto $100 by GlobalGiving during Dec. and that will help us to outlay the plans also in a better way. US tax payers for donations with tax benefits in US dollars, please donate through this link on GlobalGiving
100% of funds received are used to provide for the work as per choice of the donor only. To summarise the work and choosing any part as per your preference, Snehalaya started as a care home for disabled and destitute children in 2006 and gradually has expanded since, spread out in 25 acres of land with a Gaushala, farms, gardens, orchards and bird house etc. etc. In Snehalaya we have 63 children at present with school for special needs providing total care, education and vocational training aiming to give a life with love and dignity and make them independent as much possible. We initiated a health centre in 2007 within campus from where we have been running the integrated rural development programme with emphasis on health care, awareness and health education esp. for children, women and the aged, in surrounding 43 villages, more in 17 villages (which do not have any health care or educational facilities) including hygiene, sanitation, vaccination, health education, treatment, employment and income generating opportunities for total sustainable development. We initiated a main stream school with vocational training facilities in year 2011 esp. for drop out girls from surrounding villages to get them educated and become independent getting them out of the life of oppression, they face otherwise. This will help not only them but whole community and future generations too. For lack of electricity in these villages, we also distribute solar lights to these girls facilitating their education and that helps their family too decreasing pollution and health hazards. Summary details are available on http://www.helpchildrenofindia.org You can also download our Souvenir with annual report for 2012 with updates and many photographs from here: SOUVENIR2012
We welcome volunteers from all walks of life including students and trainees to help us in this endeavour from their own place and or work with us on floor in Gwalior, India. For any questions or further information, please write to me any time at Gwalior.Hospital@care4free.net
