This project will create small income generating activities to 30 abandoned refugee women victims of rape and other forms of sexual abuses in Kampala Uganda. These women have been raped and sexually abused both in their countries of origin and in Uganda by armed groups and men who consider them as sexual slaves. This project will create small income generating activities such as selling fish, tomatoes, fruits, cassava, soft drinks... This will help them to earn a living for their children.
After that many refugee women have been raped and sexually abused either in their countries or here in Uganda, they do not have where to go and seek for help. Those who are sexually abused are rejected by the community members that considers them as a curse. This exclusion narrows their chances to cope up with life as they are daily confronted with the challenges to have their basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care and the education for their children which has exposed many others.
This project will empower economically 30 refugee women victims of rape and others forms of sexual exploitations each 6months through creating small income generating activities such as selling fruits, tomatoes, clothes....These activities will help them to generate daily some profit which they will use to buy food, pay house rent, get medical treatment and pay school fees for their children. This will save them from the bondage of sex slavery as they will be able to respond to their daily needs
Refugee women who are involved in this business will be making a monthly contribution of some amount of money which will be kept in the bank for farther project for their development and then to help other women who are in the same situations. This will make the project to run for a long through funds generated by the contributions of members.
This project will build 3 classrooms for their children and other children in the community, they will pay some money each month to help the project.
