Young Girl Earning Income for her family
Hope for young girls to learn and experience their skills & knowledge for their development
Miss. Shaista is an 18 years old, young girl belonging to the Chandio family, who live in the slum area of Latifabad No. 4, with their seven family members. She is headed by her widow Mother for the last five years, along with her four sisters and one brother. Miss. Shaista passed class 5 in nearby Govt. Primary school, but left school due to poverty & is now sharing household work with her mum and laboring in nearby houses.
She attended one meeting with AHD staff during August 2013 in same village/area to learn about the sewing and skill trainings center of AHD.
Miss. Shaista contacted AHD staff and got admission in AHD sewing and skill training center. She attended a five month full course and learnt excellent sewing, cutting, and stitching skills. Her exam/test results gave her the position of sewing student and AGD female staff provided her with a sewing machine.
Currently, she is sewing at the household level & earning for the family and supporting her mother. She very happy and thankful to the AHD + Global Giving team.
With thanks to all of you,
Miss. Sajida Channa
