The donations from GlobalGiving continues to help the Simon Communities throughout Ireland provide the best possible care, accommodation and support for people experiencing homelessness and those at risk. Simon delivers support and services to between 4,500 and 5,000 people who experience – or are at risk of – homelessness on an annual basis. In addition, the National Office performs a coordinating role in the areas of housing/homeless policy, research, best practice and national fundraising partnerships.
The Simon Communities of Ireland is an affiliation of local Communities in Cork, Dublin, Dundalk, Galway, the Midlands, the Mid West, the North West and the South East. No matter where you are in Ireland there is a Simon Community working in your area.
In the current economic climate with increasing unemployment and poverty a whole new generation in Ireland today are facing the real threat of becoming homeless. More and more people are turning to the Simon for support. Budgetary cuts across government departments and agencies are having a massive impact on the Simon Communities and the services they provide around the country.
The Simon Communities of Ireland thanks you for your continued support.
