The project imparts business management skills to 900 women and 300 youth; provides credit to start business to 150 youth and 450 women in slums Nairobi slums through a revolving fund.
The project addresses the high rates of unemployment and lack of livelihood support among youth and women in the urban slums of Pumwani, Mukuru and Kibera in Nairobi by offering skills in business management and access to credit to start small businesses. This we do to help reduce unemployment and poverty among the youth in the slums. Where there is no poverty, there is access to education, health services and crimes are reduced.
Provide training on enterprise development and record keeping to existing business people to improve management and enhance expansion therefore increasing income levels. availing creditl for business start up as an alternative source of livelihood.
The project will provide alternative livelihood support to 1200 people living in nairobi slums to improve their standards of living through training in enterprise development and access to credit facilities, thus reducing poverty and unemployment.
