After three month implementation of 'Show corruption red card' program inschools,VAP's Anti-corruption crusader(ACC) shifted the gears to the communitycentres. The program was implemented at Makongeni community centres with a totalof 120 youth ranging from the age of 12-18 years both boys and girls.
Youth were taken through various soccer themed activities that address anti-corruptionmessages and instill messages of integrity and good leadership. With the newconstitution in Kenya, youth were taught various aspects of the governmentfunction and how if all systems work well and the constitution beingimplemented to the fullest, would be of great benefit to the nation.
The sessions were very participatory with participants engaging the ACC with questionsregarding corruption and its outcome. 'I believe we can achieve more as a nation,if corruption is eradicated in this country, so that Kenya would be a great nation."said David Omondi,a 13 year old boy from Makongeni.
