Formal Education for 60 children in an semi rural area, Children belonging to poor families- 40 girls and 20 boys. Parental occupation ranges from Labourers,maid servants, ragpickers, rickshaw oullers etc. Aim is to : a) To educate the underprivileged children in Village b) To create a better environment for the weaker section of the society c) To develop a sense of Humanity.
Uneducated parents and the large size of families are a challenge for the education of the girl child. She is forced into domestic chores at a young age and looks after her siblings in the absence of parents when they are at work. Family income is between 5000-8000 depending on the kind of work they do and they cannot afford education for their children.
Formal Schooling and scholarship will act as an incentive for the parents to educate the girl child. The Centre will also facilitate care of siblings to an Anganwadi process.Through formal schooling in English Medium School and emphasis on overall grooming of children through activity based and event based learning. Monthly PTM ensure parents involvement, The Children get free education, uniform, books and midday meals.
