Go to Them” Jipe Moyo” project consists in an effort ideally and literally “to go” to the marginalized, the forgotten, the voiceless, the poor people. Jipe Moyo began as a school for intermediate English teachings, nursery and primary school, offering boarding and day schooling opportunities to children of region.

The school also offers an opportunity of education to disadvantaged children (coming from poor families) and also to children coming from wealthy families. Poor children can be subsidized in the payment of school fees, offering them an affordable percentage of payment. Those from wealthy families can be asked to pay full charge.

The school is now struggling to have secondary education for girls from Form One up to Form Six. In 2015 Friends of Humanity decided to support this project with a special emphasis on the schooling expenses of 23 girls.

The estimated amount for 2015 is

Boarding school, school uniform and clothes, health insurance and food per year for girls:

                     Total amount: 22’500.00 USD

Dear all,

Thank you for your generous support and contributions. An African proverb says, "If we educate a boy, we educate one person. If we educate a girl, we educate a family - and a whole nation." Thanks to education of girls, the community as a whole can benefit from a strengthened socio-economic position of its female population and from local development. The project intention is to give a chance to girls who are living far away from the school.

However we still need your help and much is to be done.

Potential Long Term Impact

This project is fully locally based because it aims at helping local populations to transform their lives from stagnation to a thriving community. This means the project intends to participate in a conscious effort to integrate and to mold a community which is sensitive to the environmental and to human rights issues. The project will use local resources of construction to benefit the local population through employment. This project encourages girls to be part of local development.
