Non Formal & Formal Education Centers provide children in remote tribal areas with access to quality education,in an interactive and joyful environment. Children are enabled to join mainstream school.
Gram Vikas Trust supports education programme in collaboration with Government and local level institutions to cater quality education to children from poor tribal families in villages of Bharuch and Narmada district of Gujarat. Access to education is limited because (a) it is locally unavailable (b) of domestic and economic pressures or (c) it has traditionally not been accorded value. GVT involves local communities in the management of Non Formal Education. This will equip children with skill.
Non Formal Education ( Kidagan) run in rooms donated by villagers (or rented). Children are taught by village volunteer called development activist young men/women the basic numeric & literacy skills. Good habits, creative activities etc.
Enabling children to read and write independently with comprehension; Enabling marginalized tribal communities to experience alternative and meaningful education; empowering communities to improve quality education in the government run schools.
