Project Personnel

Jean Prosper Elie - Director of Programs, Beyond Borders

Mr. Elie, born in rural Haitian village, completed studies in applied linguistics at the State University of Haiti and taught and conducted research for the Haitian Library of the Holy Spirit Fathers before becoming Executive Secretary for the Foyer Maurice Sixto, which serves restavek children. He then joined Limye Lavi's Campaign to End Child Servitude. He now directs Beyond Borders programs.

David Diggs - Director

David Diggs worked in Haiti from 1988 until 1997 with a focus on developing new and innovative educational programming. He then researched popular education techniques in Brazil before returning to the United States. He continues to travel to Haiti frequently and is in daily contact with colleagues in Haiti. He has a masters in liberal education from St. John's College, Annapolis, MD.
