Malnutrition/starvation are very commonplace here. Most children have never known what a full and nutritious meal looks like. The feeding program is essential to their mental/physical health/growth.
20% of Sierra Leone children will die before their 5th birthday. Malnutrition and starvation are heavy contributors to this woeful statistic. And there are still untold numbers of kids who don’t ever see a nutritious meal. Malnourishment/Starvation also contributes to terribly impaired learning capabilities. This makes our feeding program at nursery through senior secondary school a program that aids not only in physical improvement but mental capactiy as well for 680 children a day.
Because of the feeding program, •The children who are participating in the program come to school every day and on time; •They're more active in class; •They're doing better academically; •They’re stronger and more energetic
Long term impact: healthier children, children who will be educated and strive for more things in life and villages that are involved more in their children's lives. We feed 680 children but affect hundreds of families in the Upper Banta chiefdom.

A: The food makes them to be attentive in school and at home they are eager to go to school.
