Early Break-ups

By a female, 22-30 years old, in Kakamega Central, Kenya
Map of EARLY BREAK-UPS Early marriages in Africa have been characterised by early breakages and divorces. In many parts, poverty has lead to many girls getting married just because their parents can have the dowry paid to them. In real sense, the girls are not usually mature, psychologically and sometimes physically to keep an upright family. Girl child education and activities need to carry out proper education on the children especially we have in school hence reduce the rate at which they get married and concentrate on education. Someone need to help me carry out these course since it's on the increase for the last six months. Read more.

By a female, 16-21 years old, in Mombasa, Kenya
Map of DIRT IS NOT GOOD FOR FOOD One of the Mombasa residents is worried that the food hygiene is being flouted with impunity in the coastal town where various dishes are prepared out in the open in filthy surrounding. The law stipulates that existing houses, cafeteria, restaurants and private clubs should not sell, prepare, display or sell food without a food hygiene license, which is only granted after a premise inspection by officials from the Public Health Department. In the evening, the situation is worse. Women and children cook tasty snacks that are then laid out in the open to gather dirt and dust raised by passing motorists. The Mombasa residents now want the relevant department at the municipal council to take action before an epidemic breaks out. Read more.
