August 2013 Update for Saving America's Horses

We are working to bring this extremely compelling film resource to more venues and to universities, schools and libraries and onto television/ cable and DVD. We have received requests from all around the country to present SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES in theaters far and wide.

SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES was successfully released to theaters in LA and NYC in December. Funds received through GlobalGiving and other sources helped to make this groundbreaking milestone for the horses, a reality.  SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES also qualified for Oscar consideration which brought the issues impacting America's horses into the mainstream.

We are thrilled about the success of SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES, but to make a real difference for the horses it needs to be seen by a much wider audience.  Funds are being raised to put this powerful film in front of as many people as possible. Your continued support can help make this happen.

The critic reviews for this film describe it as "A provocative rallying cry for justice and integrity" - THE QUAD CINEMA, NYC "Outstanding" - LA SPLASH MAGAZINE "Impassioned" - HOLLYWOOD REPORTER "Shocking statistics… "A searing indictment" -VARIETY "Filled with facts" - NY TIMES “A broad and balanced spectrum of opinion through interviews with veterinarians, trainers, policymakers and celebrity horsemen including Paul Sorvino and Willie Nelson, among others” - ABOUT.COM “Unpacks a multi-layered conspiracy - fueled by a parade of misinformation- against the survival and proliferation of horses” - LA TIMES

We are honored for the opportunity to raise awareness for SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES through the GlobalGiving fund raising platform.

Thank you for your continued kind and generous support for this important project.

With gratitude,
Katia Louise

SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES is an educational film project under Wild for Life Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit charity dedicated to saving, protecting and preserving wild and domestic equines. SAVING AMERICA’S HORSES: A NATION BETRAYED was created as an inspirational social action tool for people who want to learn and engage. Promoting wild horse conservation and preservation initiatives – the prevention of equine cruelty – and garnering donations to help educate the public and help purchase land to return horse and burro populations to the wild and provide lifelong sanctuary for equines in need. SAVING AMERICA’S HORSES is a central tool in a larger grassroots effort focused on saving this indigenous species for the greater good, and supporting the wildlife and natural ecosystems that depend on them now and for generations to come.
