Sally Jewell Coxe - President, Bonobo Conservation Initiative
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate in psychology from Williams College, Ms. Coxe works to unite, motivate and empower the Congolese government, NGOs and communities to protect bonobos and their rainforest habitat. Her work has resulted in agreements to protect over 13,000 square miles of rainforest in the Congo.
Albert Lotana Lokasola - President, Vie Sauvage
Founder and President of of local NGO Vie Sauvage, Mr. Lokasola is a native of the Kokolopori community and partnered with BCI to establish the Kokolopori Bonobo Reserve. He is a former Secretary General of the DRC Red Cross. Additionally, he has expertise in traditional forestry and a B.S. in conservation biology.
