PCI-Media Impact, with Red Desarrollo Sostenible, is developing Honduras’ first environmentally-themed radio campaign, "Agua de Angel." Now, as political turmoil grips Honduras, the government radio that was broadcasting "Agua de Angel" is no longer doing so. The show is off the air, and our team in Honduras does not have the means to pay a commercial broadcaster to air the remaining episodes.
The campaign includes a radio soap opera, interviews with community members, and a variety of educational events. The production team needs additional funding to revive their environmental campaign and get back on the air.
Total Funding Received to Date: $5,265
Remaining Goal to be Funded: $4,735
Total Funding Goal: $10,000
This project has provided additional documentation in a Microsoft Word file (projdoc.doc).
To reduce the prevalence of water-related diseases, which are the leading cause of death in children under the age of five. Our campaign raises awareness about these issues and the need to protect local water sources from depletion and contamination.
“I always admired the power of radio soap operas. Now my voice is part of one—that's incredible!â€
