With the decline in the number of Black Farmers Globally Save Black Farmers looks to help black farmers recover and get back to farming after natural and man made disasters
Every year and season there are floods, hurricanes, tornados, fires and various natural disaster that destroy towns, and cities like the Tenessee Floods of 2010. There is recovery for towns, and cities, and even home owners to fix up and keep thriving after a disaster. However, very few direct services help to insure that farmers and producers are able to recover after a disaster. With the growing decline to Black Farmers, a natural disaster just helps reduce the 1 % of black farms.
This program looks to do the following: •Keep farmers from losing revenue within their growing season •Keep producers from losing their homes •Preserve the number of Black Producer •Increase awareness of the needs of Black Farmers
The long term effects to be global not just nation: - Increase the ability of black farmers to recover after a disaster - Increase food security in disaster areas by allowing producer to keep farming - Increase Black Farmers Globally
