From both the corners of the world no help was coming. schooling had to continue when the church was the only family that could stand by us. They called for an harambee fee was paid and basic needs was met. Even though the extended family of uncles and anties were there they had deafened ear. The life was so confussing ans stressing. Once upon a time, there lived a best friend of mine called Juma who was aged 15 years. He was committed and determined to work extra hard in academics to pursue his goals of being a doctor.
Apparently, he managed to produce a good performance (KCPE) which satisfied his parents not forgetting himself.
Unfortunately, difficulties and challenges appeared on his way which began making his life miserable or perhaps giving his life a no meaning. Since his parents were not financially able. To be genuine, he was denied to continue with his education because there was no available funds to pay for his school fees at school but the friend kept him in prayers.
Finally, there emerged a person who was named Bernard who actually sacrificed himself to help the poor guy by sponsoring him and to stand with him in times of need. This event actually surprised a lot of species in the society but all the same, we asked God to shower Bernard with blessings and also to help Juma to achieve his prospective goals.

Tumaini Miles of Smiles to me as Sharon Ilusa will live in my mind forever. I am a total orphan. It is a painful thing to remember that having had parents is only a thing of the past. When you see other children enjoying in the company of theirs it hurts the most. The traumatic effect of it all pitched tent in my heart for far too long until God visited me in 2010 through Tumaini Miles of Smiles. When I understood the meaning of the name, joy filled my heart. Tumaini is hope and smiles are necessary to everyone. I needed it most. It takes someone across several miles of smile when this Home takes you and starts to take care of you.
In this Home I am able to get supplied with everything that one needs basically in life. We get food, shelter and education from their own school nearby. When you perform well, they reward you. We are counselled all through. I believe I will achieve my dream to become an engineer now that I am a member of Tumaini Miles of Smiles Orphanage.
