This project seek to train 140 traditional birth attendants who will be helping 8000 mothers who are living far away from clinics or health centers in eastern congo DRC to deliver safely.
There are more than 9000 women living in the small villages of Fizi district in eastern party of congo.these women and their children are at risk of dying at time of birth at their home and while they are on the way to the health centers which is very far from their destinations, the infrastructures including hospitals were destroyed by civil war. hence now the government is trying its best to restore them.This project will affect 8000 mothers who reside in the villages of Fizi district.
Traditional birth attendants will be trained to helping villagers mothers deliver safely and providing them with the necessary equipment, this will reduce the mothers and children's death during delivery time
We will train 140 traditional birth attendants who will be helping villagers mothers to deliver safely thus building up families' health and stable society.
