This project will train 50 women in Dausayi village of Gezawa LGA, Kano on the importance of antenatal care, nutrition during pregnancy and also equip them with the basic skills of prevention of pregnancy related ailments.
There are currently 200 women that do not have access to antenatal care in Dausayi village, although the primary healthcare centre is doing its best to provide such trainings; it is still a far cry to alleviating the high mortality rate of women in the village. This project will affect 50 women that cuts across the 9 wards of the village.
SHF will provide trainings, nutritional supplements, antenatal care and delivery fees to 50 women who will cascade this knowledge to their neighbours on the benefits derived from good ante natal healthcare services.
This project will educate and train 50 women on good nutrition, health behaiviours pre and post natal thus increasing their health, life span and well being.
