Summary
This Project seeks to provide Clean and Safe Water to 120 Albino life threatened Families in Kagera Region N.W Tanzania, by providing rain Water harvesting and storage tanks.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
This Project is addressing the real danger under which the Albino People in The Lake zone region of Kagera are exposed to when going out to look for their basic domestic needs , mainly fetching water from the unsafe natural springs, which has lead to the loss of life of over 100 Albino people in Tanzania since last year. This Project provide alternative source of Water for the Albino community in the region by helping them acquire means to harvest and store rain water at their homes.
How will this project solve this problem?
Through this project, some sixty Water storage tanks will be constructed at the homes of vulnerable Albino Families,to enable them harvest and store rain water for their needs.
Also provide , skin protection, vision aid and home solar lighting.
Potential Long Term Impact
This project will reduce the exposure to physical danger and harmful sun radiations of some 120 Albino People, improve their health, through access to safe and clean water , and reduced risks to skin cancer, leading to improved and productive life.
