This Water Missions International project provides 8,000 people (an entire village) with safe, sustainable water and health and hygiene training in rural Naminya, Uganda, Africa.
Naminya, in the district of Mukono desperately needs access to safe water. They currently travel to get water, and that water is dirty and contaminated. This project will install a Living Water(TM) Treatment System closer to the community and build a water lagoon at the stream and pump water a distance of 350m to the system. The entire community of Naminya will benefit.
Site/Community Assessment, Transportation of Equipment, Installation and Start up of System, Sustainability Training, Health and Hygiene Training and a 12 month Monitoring and Evaluation.
The project will change the lives of 8,000 people. They will be able to live healthy lives without suffering from water-borne diseases. They will also have the opportunity to get an education and increase their income to overcome the poverty cycle.
