Summary

We want to save mothers and babies from death and suffering during birth and from HIV by transporting them to a district hospital and by paying for their CD4 cell tests so they can be treated with ARV

What is the issue, problem, or challenge?

Pregnant women and their babies. HIV positive pregnant women.

How will this project solve this problem?

In addition to the present services of Namulaba health centre we want to provide emergency transport for mothers in labor and CD4 test for mothers HIV positivel.

Potential Long Term Impact

Reduced maternal and baby deaths and suffering due to unskilled attendants at delivery. Reduced maternal and chilld death and suffering due to untreated HIV.
