Who?University students in different universities and high institutions of Rwanda.How?Sensitazing and set up a Rwanda univeristy students forum coalition on HIV/AIDS prevention.Why?to stop HIV/AIDS.
What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Problem addressing: Poverty reduction and reduce HIV to young people especially universities.We believe that if the spread of HIV in our community can be stopped and people living with the disease supported, it will be possible to concentrate on other important development issues that are neglected.Where? In 5 universities as pilot but the forum will cover all Rwandan Universities.The solution will be to educate them on HIV,to alleviate the anxiety on HIV to positive or negative HIV testing.
How will this project solve this problem?
Activities will be the training of volunteers and counsellers, opening conference to set up the forum coalition to fight HIV in universities,sensitization,VCT,evaluation activities and continuation activities by university forum coalition on HIV.
Potential Long Term Impact
The project will educate more than 50000 university students the issues of HIV and Young people are the hope for the future but remain vulnerable as a result of HIV/AIDS. Their vulnerability is perpetuated by social, cultural and biological factors.
