"Migrant Ranjith says"

“I am a migrant worker ( Narikurava’s) and my parents are also migrants since their birth. My family is consisting of 6 members, my father, my wife, one son and two girl children. We live under bridges or in bus stops or under trees near road side according to the place of our migration.

During November end heavy rains started due to cyclone formation(continuously 3 cyclones formed). During this raining, we were living underneath a flyover and were unable to go for any work. My father felt sick and I was unable to feed my family or provide medicine to my father.

On third rainy day, CHHASE staff came and studied the needs according to the situation and strength of migrants at that place. We were in hunger and helpless, we got little hope that we will be fed. Within a short while, we received packed food for all.  After that, a small vehicle came with rice, dhal, condiments to cook for ourselves. I receive 6 Kg.of rice, 1/2 kg of dhal, necessary condiments and oil. with this emergency food assistance, we were able save our self  from hunger.

We came to know that this relief was given with the help of globalgiving donor. We sincerely thank you for the help you provide to the most disadvantaged.

We pray almighty to bless you.”

Hi supporters and donors,

During November and early December, 8 continuous cyclones formed and rained heavily. In this period, these people suffered and not able to go for any work to earn their bread or they were able to change their dresses. We have been able to provide rice, medicines and cloths to 22 migrant people. Your support enabled us to provide emergency care during cyclone/floods. We learned a lesson during this emergency that, these migrants need food, dress and medicines in disasters. We at CHHASE appeal to you that, kindly allow us to provide food, dress and medicines, till we are able to provide mobile home. I know that in deciding to help those in needs you are making a hard-earned sacrifice with your donation. CHHASE staff prays for you and to your families. CHHASE staff request you to continue support in our future projects. Thank you

Hi supporters

Community health, housing and social education (CHHASE) learned during November and early December that providing mobile home to migrant people is not going to solve the problem. But there is also major need for migrant people, they need food, dress and medicines during natural disasters. During November and early December, 8 continuous cyclones formed and rained heavily. In this period, these people suffered and not able to go for any work to earn their bread or they were able to change their dresses. Heavy rainy water covered them. Many fallen sick. We have been able to provide rice, medicines and cloths to 22 migrant people. Thank you for your donations and consideration of this worthy cause. Now CHHASE come to a solution that till the time we will provide mobile home to these under privileged people, we will provide food, dress and medicines in disasters. I know that in deciding to help those in needs you are making a hard-earned sacrifice with your donation. Many blessing to you and to your families.
