We can all imagine being homeless and how awful that would be. Whether a homeless human or a homeless cat, it is heartbreaking. Sometimes, it is both human and cat, homeless, living together and trying to survive. Thus began our Christmas Cat Rescue when, last week, the local animal shelter called NBCR about seven female cats that had survived a motor vehicle accident involving the Van they were riding in. There were numerous cats living in the Van with the homeless woman. A few of the cats were killed in the accident and many more had to be euthanized due to upper respiratory infections, most of them were kittens. One of the rescued cats will be held by the animal shelter for the woman until she recovers from her injuries. Of the seven cats that survived, one was pregnant and has since delivered her four babies. In keeping with the spirit of the season, the momma cat has been named Vixen. All the cats are safe and sound living with their foster families. Thank you for caring about homeless cats and donating to New Beginnings Cat Rescue. Your donations make this Christmas Rescue possible. Merry Catmas!
