Our organization never dreamed to be on the GlobalGiving site and receive donations from different donors. We are from a small country Lithuania, a small grass-root organization The Centre for Information and Support for Large Families. In our first report we can't present big numbers of events or participants, but we can present the importance of your donations and deepness of impact.
We changed unsafe electrical equipment, repaired water and drainage systems in the COMMUNITY HOUSE FOR FAMILIES, attracted community members to donate food, clothes furniture, toys, etc. for people in need, organized humanitarian aid actions for poorest families, organized different non-formal trainings (English language courses, art therapy courses, Saturday breakfests for families), collected different important, needful and helpful information and regularly sent it to families by e-mails, by post, by phone messages. Per three month in different ways we "touched" hundreds underprivileged families. It means real support at present time and hope for children future.
The story "Loreta. Her life story" is about mother from our organization. She told it first time in her life. Reading it you will understand how important your donations are, because they can help to cut off poverty and destiny circle...
