Sameer directs the strategic vision of the company. He brings to the team his background in international development (having started/managed the Growing Sustainable Business initiative at UNDP Kenya), technology (an Electrical Engineer from McMaster University in Canada and industry experience from the semiconductor and telecom sectors) and business (an MBA from INSEAD).

Deepak Punwani - COO, Nuru Energy

Deepak directs Nuru Energy's operations in India. He has had more than ten years of experience in strategic and operational roles across India, China and Middle East. In the past he led the development of market based solutions for rural consumers while working with Colgate Palmolive, Dabur India and Goodyear Asia Pacific.

Gaurav Malik - Director of M&E and Partnerships, Nuru Energy

Gaurav manages Nuru Energy's partnerships and ground operations in strategic locations. He is also responsible for grant writing, business development and M&E. Gaurav has gained varied exposure leading initiatives in the field of micro-finance, local economic development and rural-education across 3 states and 8 districts in India.
