On behalf of Global Giving – Chevaliar Roche Society, School Level Disaster and Risk Management Training was provided at continually for boys and girls students at Govt. Hr. Secondary school, V. Kattuppalyam village (Vellakkarai). Cuddalore District which was affected. Mrs. S. Sabena Parveen Headmistress, Gov, Hr. secondary School, V.Kattuppalayam presided over the Training programme in the presence of Mr.S.Sakthivel, physical Education Teacher, V. Kattuppalayam.

Mr. A. Dhamothran project Manager, Chevaliar Roche Society and his team offered the Training for both the boys and girls students during the time of all  Trainings the following were taught.

«     It was taught about the safety travel of school going Boys and girls students.

«     We taught about the Natural and artificial Disasters.

«     About early warning also the points were also taught.

«     Rescue actions to taken on arrival of the disaster was taught.

«     we also taught about the actions to be taken after the hit of the Disaster

«     We taught the participants about children firing the crackers in a safety manner

«     Method of living a healthy life without being affected by contagious disease was taught

«     It was taught “ what bad effect it would cause if a disaster is occurred?”

«     It was advised what type of damages would be occurred in schools during the time of disasters

«     Safety measures of School was taught in detail

«     It was insisted to form a Disaster and Risk Management Committee with the participation of N.C.C and N.S.S

«     We emphasized to form & Disaster Management Counseling with the participation of parents and Teachers.

«     Also we insisted to keep the Evacuation Route Map in the centre of the school

«     It was emphasized to provide the information and Technology facilities in every room.

 

 

 

 

MOCK DRILL & FIRST AID PROGRAMMS

 On behalf of Organizations Global Giving and Chevaliar Roche Society, Mock Drill and First AID Training programme was held on 28.11.2012 at Gov. Higher secondary school, V.Kattuppalayam (Vellakkarai) Cuddalore district which was heavily affected by the Cyclone Thane. In this programme in the presence Mr. M.Ananda Narayanan, Assistant Headmaster, Mrs. Sabena Parveen, Headmistress presided over the function Mr. A. Damothran and his Team, Chevaliar Roche Society offered the Mock Drill and First AID Training with the practical Explanation. During this Training programme following information were taught to the students.

¨        It was taught how to involve in search and Rescue services during the times of disaster

¨      The way of giving artificial respiration was taught

¨      Controlling method of hemorrhage was taught.

¨      With the practical Explanation First AID  practice according to the defect was taught

¨      First AID to be done for Beast and snake bites was taught to the students participated in this training programme

¨      First AID actions to be taken for the victims for their bone fracture was performed

¨      Rescuing the victims affected by the flood  taught by the Mock Drill programme

¨      Rescuing method of the people affected in the fire accident was taught through Mock Drill and Training programme

¨      Mock Drill programme was performed and shown to teach the students how to rescue the victims affected by the cyclone

¨      It was also taught how to rescue the victims who were affected by the tremor

¨      The way of rescuing the victims by the disaster like Tsunami etc was taught to the students in detail.

¨      Rescuing the victims affected by the accidents also was taught to the students in an elaborate way.
