PROJECT TITLE: REHABILITATION OF THANE CYCLONE VICTIMS IN SOUTH INDIA (9753) REPORT TITLE: SCHOOL LEVEL DISASTER MANAGEMENT TRAINING REPORT PERIOD: 01.09.12 to 30.09.12 SCHOOL LEVEL DISASTER MANAGEMENT TRAINING Date : 10.09.12 , 11.09.12 & 12.09.12 Venue : Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Thiruppa puliyur - Cuddalore Presidence : Mrs. K. Sasikala Pushpa Headmistress Presence : Mrs. N. Sankari NCC - NSS TEACHER Organization Global Giving and Chevaliar Roche Society in the united manner on continuous campaign (10.09.12 , 11.09.12 & 12.09.12) at Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Thiruppapuliyur, Cuddalore district convened the School level Disaster Management Training programme ( for IX , XI and XII students separately) . For this Training programmes Mrs. K. Sasaikala Pushpa, Headmistress, Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School presided over the programme in the presence of Mrs.N.Sankari, NCC & NSS Teacher. A team under the leadership of project Manager, Chevaliar Roche Society offered the Training. The following points were taught to the students. 1. About the safety of the school it was taught 2. It was also taught, "what is the school level Disaster Management?" 3. Arranging the prepared condition was taught 4. About the early warning, they were taught 5. About search and Rescue was taught 6. It was taught how to find the alternative route and how we could escape 7. Methods of Disasters were taught and also it was taught in detail how would be its impact. 8. It was taught what types of disasters could be met in the residing areas of girl students 9. Trainer and team taught how the girl students should travel safely 10. It was emphasized to know the safety places, phone Numbers of Govt. Offices and Govt. Officers 11. They were encouraged to learn how to prepare the school level Disaster Management plan. 12. It was advised to form the school level Disaster Management Committee.
