Help these women to change

Dear Donors,

Thanks to your donations the inmates of the Special Prison have been trained in so many trades like Tailoring, vermi compost production, candle, washing powder, incense powder making, etc. These trainings have given them courage and confidence to face their future and the community once they get released. The trainings have also helped them keep themselves busy and engaged instead of idling away the time in prison and dwelling in the past/fearful thoughts.

The women who were forced into activities that conflict with law, either because of their poverty or due to emotions were now given a new livelihood skill which will help them to get settled with self pride. All this is possible only with your support. You made this happen.

Your continued support (both financial and moral) will help other women inmates who want to change. The organisation is now planning to give training on Kundan Jewellery production to the inmates. The training will be given to 30 beneficiaries for a month. Kundan Jewellery is the art of making jewels with gem stones. The women are fond of these jewellery as they are cheaper and it comes in vibrant colours that match their attire. Hence it is a profitable venture.

So kindly spread words about this project to your friends and relatives. We can start the training in the next month if we receive the required donation of $360

We require generous donors to support us continue working for this cause. Kindly help us.

Vermi Compost Training

Dear Donors,

27 women inmates of the Special Prison for Trichy were given training on the production of Vermi compost.  They were given information on sourcing the raw material required, the process of producing the compost, packing techniques and the details on marketing outlets. They were also taught the price fixing method and the costs to be included while fixing the rate per kg. The inmates were involved in training right from the process of building the compost pit till reaping the compost.

80 Kg of compost was produced. The inmates were happy that they were taught a simple and low cost technology of the compost production. They can easily start this venture when they get discharged from the prison as the capital required for starting the production is less and the technology to be followed is easy.

We thank all the donors who have helped to conduct the training program by contributing magnanimously. Kindly continue supporting the project by spreading words about the project to your friends and relatives. Thus we can work together and contribute to a crime free community.

Can you support us, please!

Dear Donors,

The trainings given to the inmates of the Special prison by us, have given them courage and confidence to face their future and the community once they get released. The trainings have also helped them keep themselves busy and engaged instead of idling away the time in prison and dwelling in the past/fearful thoughts.

Rani, who was selling liquor earlier and the trainee in our first batch is released a year ago. Once she returned back to her village she started stitching with a minimim investment of Rs.3000/-. Now she is earning Rs.150/- per day on an average. She is very happy now besides being a self-righteous person. All this is possible only because of the support of donors like you.

You made this happen and your continued support both financially and morally will help other women inmates who want to change like Rani. So kindly spread words about this project to your friends and relatives. For the last six months we have not received any donations for this initiative, which had made our initiative slog.

We require generous donors to support us continue working for this cause. The organisation has planned to give training on Kundan Jewellery production and Vermi-compost production to the inmates. Kundan Jewellery is the art of making jewels with gem stones. The women are fond of these jewellery as they are cheaper and it comes in vibrant colours that match their attire. Hence it is a profitable venture.

In the prison the raw material for producing vermi-compost is in abundance and is being wasted. Hence if vermi-compost production is taught to the inmates, they can use the compost for raising their kitchen garden.

The total amount required for giving a kundan jewellery making for a batch of 20 inmates will cost $920 and vermi compost production training to 20 will cost $520.

So dear donors, kindly continue supporting the project by donating and spreading words to your friends and relatives.

The inmates are waiting for you to support

Dear Donors,

The inmates of the Special prison are eagerly and anxiously waiting now to get sponsors for their training. We require generous donors to continue this cause. Now the organisation has planned to give training on Kundan Jewellery production and Vermi-compost production to the inmates.

And the training can be conducted in a batch of mininum of 20.  The amount of donation received this time for these two trainings will be used as a revolving fund, as once the trainees get the certification the fee will be reimbursed by an agency (we have signed the agreement). Hence the money you donate will support three inmates(minimum) in a year thus having multiple effects.

So dear donors, kindly continue supporting the project by donating and spreading words to your friends and relatives.
