This past trimester MBF focused on reforestation activities and continued supporting capacity-building workshops. With funds from GlobalGiving and other sources we reforested 16 hectares within the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve with 22,340 seedlings from 6 community and 5 school tree nurseries. We also held 6 workshops on how to build fuel-efficient stoves and 2 on cisterns. This led to the construction of 62 stoves and 4 cisterns. All of this could not have been accomplished without your generosity. THANK YOU!
We are now close to reaching the halfway mark in our GlobalGiving fundraising goal. Currently, our goal is to reach our total funding target so we can raise our GlobalGiving rank as “Partner” to “Leader” making us eligible to be recommended to a corporate partner, thus expanding our visibility and fundraising opportunities. This will help us continue our capacity-building workshops with the communities for the next three months.
