Hey GlobalGivers!! I know it’s been a while since the last update but many exciting things have been going on with our partner organization CEPAIPA!
With your generous donations, GlobeMed has been able to reach our fundraising goal to completely fund the rapid HIV/AIDS testing lab! The lab will be completed and up and running by the end of May. With the remainder of the funds, a lab technician will be hired to get the lab started and to help train the students. Lab training of the students will allow for the sustainability of the lab for years to come.
On May 5th, the students have a festival planned to educate the community on sexual health and women’s reproductive rights. The students will be performing a musical to portray the sexual health lessons. The students at CEPAIPA continue taking active roles in educating their community and promoting safe health practices. Their love and passion for music and art helps teach the community in an interesting and hands on way. Look out for pictures to come from the upcoming festival!
Project Reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you will get an e-mail when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports via e-mail without donating or by subscribing to this project's RSS feed.
Combined with other sources of funding, this project raised enough money to fund the outlined activities and is no longer accepting donations.
