Lucia Eslava - Piassaba and Handicraft Project Manager
Lucia graduated from the National University Agraria La Molina in Lima with a Bachelor of Forestry Science. . Her experience includes forestry work in different areas of Peru: georeferencing and reporting illegally disturbed areas for extraction of the Caoba (Swettenia) tree in the National Park of Pacaya Samiria, Iquitos.
Josa Angulp Rojas - Piassaba Management Plan- Project Manager
Also a fellow graduate with Lucia Eslava from UNALM in Lima with a Bachelor of Forestry Science. He worked in tandem with Lucia with the Peruvian NGO CIMA in order to georeference areas where the Piassaba fiber grows in the forests surrounding Chipaota. He also managed workshops to provide environmental education to not only the people of Chipaota but also other settlements and towns.
Niyanta Spelman - Director of Rainforest Partrnership
Niyanta Spelman's passion for saving the Rainforest has found her repeatedly trekking through the Amazon to find the tribes and bring her help / funding to them. Her sense of direction, knowledge of handling bureaucracy, and ability to become part of any community she is working with makes her an irreplaceable leader.
