Jessica and I have graduated from Stanford, and are now working full-time on SEE College Prep. We had a very successful summer: our students improved their SAT scores an average of nearly 200 points, we raised more than $700,000 from a variety of sources, and built a 700-student partnership with one of the nation's largest charter-management organizations.
We are in the process of hiring new full-time staff members: there should be six of us starting November 1st. We'll work together to bring SAT prep and college counseling services to 2,000 low-income high school students across the state of California. It's hard to believe, but that means that 1 out of every 20 low-income students who takes the SAT in California will have gone through one of our programs!
