Barbara Taveras - Director, Community Engagement

Barbara Taveras joined New Visions in 2006. Ms. Taveras currently oversees services provided to community stakeholders, including parent networks. Prior to joining New Visions, she served as President of the Edward W. Hazen Foundation, Policy Analyst i of K-12 education for the New York City Office of the Mayor and various positions in international and community development.

Caissa Douwes - Program Officer, Community Engagement

Caissa Douwes joined New Visions in 2005. She provides professional and technical expertise to parents and other stakeholders in schools covered by New Visions’ Partnership Support Organization contract. She brings experience in classroom teaching, school and museum partnerships. Her prior experience includes Program Director of the Inclusive Arts Project at the South Street Seaport Museum.

Raymond Johnson - Program Officer, Community Engagement

Raymond Johnson joined New Visions in 2003. He currently provides professional and technical expertise to parents and other stakeholders in schools covered by New Visions’ Partnership Support Organization contract. Previously, Mr. Johnson served as Director of the Isaacs Center Beacon Program for the Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center, Inc.
